The Care Quality Commission is responsible for monitoring the standards of hospitals, dentists, GP Surgeries, Care homes and care services. As from April 2013 they became responsible for monitoring the standards of GP surgeries.

The Liphook and Liss Surgery, along with all other GP surgeries, has registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This involves assessing our self against a set of standards which relate to regulations in the Health & Social Care Act.

The CQC will routinely monitor the services that we provide and carry out regular inspections and reports. As with all CQC reports these will published and accessible on the CQC website.
The CQC website can also be used to provide feedback on any CQC registered services such as hospitals and care homes and of course GP surgeries.

The surgery had a routine inspection on the 21st of July 2015 which, on the whole, was a great success and an overall rating of Good was received.

The one area which they felt needed improvement was with regard to fire safety and the fact that it had been some time since our last risk assessment. Within days of the inspection we had arranged for an independent contractor to carry out a full check and subsequently there has been a number of improvements to the buildings to ensure full compliance with current guidelines.
