Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to book “on the day”?
No you don’t. All our doctors and nurse appointments can routinely be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. If you feel that you need to see a clinician the same day for something more urgent our receptionists will ask you for some further details and will take a contact number for you. A GP or nurse will then call you back and decide on the best possible care pathway for you.
Can I order my prescription on the phone?
No, but you can order online! Our receptionists are not trying to be unhelpful but you may be interested to know that we issue approximately 900 prescriptions each week. By taking prescription requests on the phone this would prevent other, more urgent calls from getting through.
Do I really need to see a Doctor?
Possibly not. Our nurses are specially trained to undertake healthcare monitoring for patients with long term conditions. They can also deal with many one off minor illnesses which may not always warrant a doctors appointment. Don’t hesitate to ask our receptionists if you are unsure.
